MomFest 2008 & Books Selah

Happy MommyFest! I've been praying about a new project devoted to mothers who love to read to their children. So in honor of this year's Mommyfest I decided to do it. Books Selah. Right now I will feature great children's books, but eventually I will be selling my own handcraft story books. I'm so excited. Selah will be helping me with the hand sewn books. The blog's layout will change and be complete by June 1. This week you can hang out with me at the MommyFest Blog Party.

Marvelous Mother's Day Reads

Before you head out for some last minute Mother's Day shoppings. Take down these three titles and run to the bookstore.

1. The Girl with No Shadow CD: A NovelA continuation of Chocolat. Is nine years worth the wait? For good chocolate, of course.

2.Things I Want My Daughters to Know: A Novel
Story revolves around letters a mother gives to her four daughters after she has died from cancer. Buy a nice cloth hankie for this one.


3. Bella: a novelization of the award-winning movie
Lisa Samson writes a novelized version of the award winning movie, Bella. I loved the movie, so when I opened the book and began to read I was overjoyed. Lisa is a wonderful writer, and boy did she hit the nail on the head. This is one of the few novelized movie books that translates well. Kudos, Lisa.

Meet the Browns on Blu-Ray

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the Tyler Perry comedy 'Meet the Browns' to Blu-ray on July 1st, day-and-date with the DVD release. No technical specs have been announced at this time. Extras include four featurettes shared with the DVD release, along with three additional featurettes exclusive to the Blu-ray release. The Blu-ray will also include a standard definition digital copy of the film.

How Do you Include Worship in Your Work?

Cinco de Mayo! This month Christian Fiction's 1Question interview series is about Worship. The question is: How do you include worship in your work. Each day I will share how my writing friends have accomplished this, with hopes that you will share as well. Today's spotlight is Alvin Romer of The Romer Review.

Worship is an integral part of my life, and it starts at the beginning of my day with family devotion and involving the Lord in my activities with prayer. I have a relationship with Him, and I’ve long ago made my election and calling surest with allowing Him to be my friend and Protector just like that brother who sticketh closest!

The Romer Review is published quarterly and each issue includes feature articles, book reviews, interviews, and literary commentary.
