This week's Christian Fiction Trailer Park Tuesday spotlight is Ronie Kendig;s Nightshade (Discarded Heroes).

After a tour of duty in a war-torn country, embattled former Navy SEAL Max Jacobs finds himself discarded and alienated from those he loves as he

Then a mysterious a man appears. He says he's organizing a group that recycles veterans like Max. It's a deep-six group known as Nightshade. With
the chance to find purpose in life once again, Max is unable to resist the call of duty and signs on.

The team handles everything with precision and lethal skill...until they're called upon to rescue a missionary family from a rebel-infested jungle and
avoid a reporter hunting their identities.

Will Max yield his anger and pride to a force greater than him...love?

Trailer Park Tuesday: Robin Carroll's Deliver Us from Evil

Today's Trailer Park Tuesday spotlight is Robin Carroll's Deliver Us from Evil.

A beautiful yet tough woman working in a beautiful yet tough setting, Brannon Callahan is a search and rescue helicopter pilot for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Strong faith and a decorated history of service have kept her one step ahead of on-the-job dangers, but there’s no precedent for what’s about to happen. After a blizzard takes down a small plane carrying U.S. Marshal Roark Holland (already haunted by a recent tragedy), Brannon must save him in more ways than one and safeguard the donor heart he’s transporting to a government witness on the edge of death. Otherwise the largest child trafficking ring in history—with shocking links from Thailand to Tennessee—will slip further away into darkness along the Appalachian Trail.

Woohoo Robin!

Trailer Park Tuesday: Duets Couple Devotional

In honor of Valentine's Day I thought Duets: John and Anita Renfroe's follow up Couples Devotional would be a great spotlight for this week's Trailer Park Tuesday. I'm single and I want the book after watching this trailer. I saw Anita live at Women of Faith and she is hilarious. So check this one out.

Trailer Park Tuesday: The Graveyard Book

This week's Trailer Park Tuesday is the 2008 Newberry Award for children's literature, Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Today's Trailer Park Tuesday is my buddy, Nicole Seitz brilliant novel Saving Cicadas (December 2009.)

From Publisher's Weekly

This beguiling, inspirational family-first tale from Lowcountry native Seitz (A Hundred Years of Happiness) follows the revelatory and haunting journey of a single mother from South Carolina who discovers she's pregnant and needs to clear her head to plan her next step. Priscilla Lynn Macy quits her job and hits the road with her daughters, Rainey Dae, 17, who has Down syndrome, and Janie Doe, her precocious eight-year-old. Grandma Mona's in the backseat with her husband, Poppy Grayson. Janie's and Grandma Mona's perspectives on Priscilla's situation invigorate Seitz's folksy prose as Priscilla looks for Harlan Bradfield, Janie's dad, who took off one day on his motorcycle. The tribe ends up at the Macy ancestral home in Forest Pines, S.C., where Priscilla reconnects with her half-brother, Pastor Fritz Rosier, who helps her make peace with past mistakes and to decide about the future. Seitz has a gift for creating wonderful characters, especially the young girls, and while she's strident in her antiabortion stance, this tale's spooky sweet dénouement includes a magical twist about spirited little Janie that's marvelously memorable. Trailer Park Tuesday: Destination Romance

Romance Slam Jam will set sail in 2010 for it's annual conference. Rochelle Alers will keynote the fantastic cruise. But did you know that Romance Slam Jam also supports Non-Profit Foundations? This week's Trailer Park Tuesday will also feature Destination Romance.

It's an anthology where all proceeds will go to the South Side Health Center (an organization fighting to stop the spread of AIDS/HIV in the AAcommunity) Each story in the anthology will also have it's own ebook, according to Deatri.

Destination Romance: While on a cruise to Jamaica, six couples discover the “Love Boat” is a lot more than a television series from the 1980s, and this time the destination is hot, steamy romance.

As A Whisper
Izaya Charles was devastated when Gunther Datari ended their passionate and lengthy relationship. Work keeps her going until she and Gunther meet aboard the newest ship in his fleet. Will desire or devastation be the outcome of their reunion?

Show Me!
Cammie's life would never be the same following a chance meeting (or so she thought) with Jacques, a man many years her junior who would grant her unselfish, unbridled passion!

Trapped In Paradise
After escaping an abusive marriage, Saundra Write swore never to allow anyone to trap her again. Then comes along Jeremy King, the kind of man any woman would beg to be trapped in paradise with.

Seaside Seduction
Mac should be the last person to teach his best friend to love and trust when he’s been lying to her for years. And now that his game is up, he can only hope the beautiful Caribbean days and sensual seaside nights will be enough to make CJ dismiss the mistakes of the past to sail towards a brighter future?

On My Knees
Carmen placed everything before love until love was nothing more than the stories told in romance novels. Aaron is an accomplished romance author, but wants the real thing. A cruise brings the two together. Renewed
love, with a healthy dose of lust, works to keep them together.

More And More
Mocha Nivens enjoys the casual nature of her long-term, long-distance relationship with businessman Dean Kincaid, but she ends it when he moves back to town wanting more. When Dean dates other women, Mocha realizes what
she’s lost, but is it to late to claim the love shedeserves?

Weekend Chatter: Double Cross Book Trailer

I so don't want to sound biased when it comes to David C. Cook Publishing, but their marketing team is off the chizzzle. Anyway this weekend's chatterbox question is simple, how are you tracking your book trailer responses and are they converting to book sales?

This book trailer is from James Jordan's Double Cross. I will talk more about him tomorrow and Monday, so leave your comments here or tweet them or FB me.

Trailer Park Tuesday: Love Starts with Elle

Yesterday I received the cutest book trailer from Rachel Hauck's Love Starts with Elle. What I like about this from a book promotion glance is that it does what a book ad should do introduce the reader to the character in a way that makes the reader want to learn her story and experience her world.

Trailer Park Tuesday: The Legacies

It's been a while, but we're back. Trailer Park Tuesdays presents Michelle Larks' The Legacies (Urban Christian, July, 2008.) The trailer is long, but simple and does what it should. Tell you about the characters, the conflict and how to purchase the book. What do you think?

I'm thinking about having a book trailer awards this year. What do you think about that, too?
