Get Out Your House: 1 Key to Successful Steady Writing

If you are having trouble meeting your daily writing goal, I suggest you leave your home. I am a mom, who because of my disability need to stay home. However, when I have writer deadlines being home makes it very hard. SO I thought what about other working writers? I'm sure you are bombarding by relatives wanting you to chauffeur them everywhere, your daughter's school needing you to volunteer, or your writer friends wanting you to read every though that comes out of their head, then there's laundry, lunch, dinner, shopping, cleaning and homework. Here are a few laces I have found that are becoming my writing home away from home. This week I will be searching for these places, since I am new to this town.

1. Your public library
   
2. a neighborhood coffee shop
3. your church narthex-always a bench there
4. the mall foodcourt
5. Barnes and Noble
6. Ingles Grocers Book section. They have a little reading nook in there.

What did you do for your spiritual life in '07 that also improved your writing?

Last year was a great learning experience for me. I was so used to being superwoman and trying to be all things to all people. As God revealed to me how to balance my family with my writing career, things shifted to an easy flow. I didn't feel the rush and the pressure to write all of the time, but instead to enjoy those days when me and my son played outside, pushed trucks around in living room, or read his favorite books over and over!

Slowing down your life helps a writer craft a masterpiece that readers will enjoy for ages, and that your family will be proud of for generations.

Happy Magnificent Monday! Y'all wouldn't believe how good I feel today. This time last year I don't know. It was tough. The days never ended. I just couldn't pull it together. By the end of the year I decided to leave most of my old life behind just to hold onto the little bit of faith I had left. Thank God I did. So I say this with utmost certainity...If it weren't for God, where would I be? Because no one, but God, El Elohe Israel can make such magnificent changes.

Let me tell you those changes don't come easy. God has put me to work, honey.

Today I want to talk about this work. I call it My 3 P's of Magnificent Growth. Why? Because I know in my soul that there is someone here who desperately wants to change her life. Someone here wants to rewrite his script. Someone here wants to honor God with their life, especially through their art. They are ready for their Monday Morning Workout. Are you ready?
