Isaac Hayes Passes

Isaac Hayes has passed. WMC-TV in Memphis.
Ironically Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac will star in Soul Men, which releases November 14 , 2008. Sam Jackson also headlines.

Mac, whose real name is Bernard McCullough, passed away early this morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 50 years old.

Publicist Danica Smith just issued the following statement to TMZ: "Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family's privacy continues to be respected."

Mac was working on a few projects: Old Dog(2009) starring John Travolta and Robin Williams.
In November 2008 two movies he star in will be released: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, the sequel and Soul Men starring Samuel L. Jackson.




Just a few days ago, Mac's condition was characterized as "stable"; Bernie had been in the hospital for a week.

Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a
car accident in Mississippi on Sunday night according to the
Mississippi Highway Patrol. Source MSNBC News Services

Regarding Morgan's injuries - "Morgan has a broken arm, elbow and has minor shoulder damage but was in good spirits when I spoke with him a short time ago at the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center at The MED, a Level 1 Trauma Center at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis.

He is having a little bit of surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to help correct the damage. He says he'll be OK and is looking forward to a full recovery."
