Lisa Bowman
Selah(my five-year-old daughter) and I have a passion for dolls. And sometimes Selah mistakes the dolls I buy for hers. And in most cases I break down and give them to her. But there are some exceptions to this rule.
One is the
Lisa Bowman doll from Ladie and Friends, Inc. I fell in love with these dolls when I was in and out of the hospital three years ago. And everytime I have my six week doctor's appointment, I have to stop by the hospital gift shop to see the new ones. Well this, spring. They have an African American with curly hair like Selah. And she's country like me. I'm so excited and inspired. I'm thinking about writing a series of kids books just for Selah. Let me finish my novel first.
But I thought she was cute. And a nice pic me up from yesterday's tragedy. Today's my mother's 53rd birthday and my good friend, Kim's 36th. Yesterday my grandmother became seventy. So there's a need for celebration.
Still praying for those in London. I found a cute doll created there I'll post that next Friday. And for all you
Terri Lee doll fans Target has a new line for girls coming out this month. And of course, I contacted their corporate offices about the African American dolls. :)
