"Communicating is one of the most difficult things that we[Christians] do. So much of the reason why books like Strobel's is necessary is because Christians haven't explained themselves well in the first place. If Christians want to be respected into the future, they are going to have to be able to start with themes like those in this book and push forward quickly, showing that their understanding is not shallow. The stakes are high."
-Anthony Horvath's Review of Lee Strobel's The Case for the Real Jesus
Question: Do you agree? Should this issue also relate to the Christian fiction author?

We were just discussing how the church is responsible for equipping the saints on another blog. In some churches, discipleship is going by the wayside to making possible "future" Christians "comfortable".
And regarding fiction, on different blogs you see this leaning toward "disguising" Christianity, conversions, prayer, etc. in the CBA in apparent hopes of "ambushing" unbelievers to "think about God or spiritual things". Ain't gonna happen. Truth is what matters. Presentation of it is critical and exciting all at the same time. Fiction is a beautiful way to share Truth if done well.
(P.S. I love you, Dee.)
I love you, too, Nicole.
I agree. I don't understand the whole disguising Christianity thing. What in the world is Christian fiction if a Christian worldview isn't portrayed?
That's our problem. You can't hide light!
