As we celebrate the life of Rev. Dr. Martin King, Jr. today I've been thinking about my life and my daughter, Selah. How has dream affected me and her? And how will his dream live in me? And I thought about Christian Fiction. I received a cute new novel from Rebeca Seitz, Sisters Ink. From the cover I assume an African-American characters lives between the pages. I'm anxiously awaiting Nicole Seitz latest, Trouble the Water. She writes great stories about a culture of people whom I belong and she's not African-American. Claudia Burney's Murder, Mayhem & a Fine Man has a love triangle with a forensic psychologists, a detective, and a non-denominational pastor, who's white. Claudia's not white. And there's Mary Griffin and her Shades of Style Series. Christian Fiction is taking the dream and putting it in story. I am glad to see that. So I ask you as I continue to ask myself: How will MLK"S Dream Live in You?
