Unfortunately, I have no help on this subject for you. I do not celebrate "Easter". I also find that most Christians are willing to blindly accept the worlds explanation of this holiday. the eggs are a symbol of fertility and "Eastre" [Easter as we call it} is the pagan goddess of fertility. The rabbit was the form that she chose for the people to on earth to worship. I never understood why Christians continue to allow their children to have easter egg hunts, especially in the church! Also if Jesus was buried on "Good Friday" and rose after 3 days why is "Easter" celebrated on Sunday? That is surely not 3 days! I would suggest that Christians go back to the bible and read the book of Matthew especially chapters 27 & 28, to get a true understanding of what the Resurrection celebration is really about. Blessings!
I didn't say anything about Easter eggs or Easter Bunnies, I wanted to find some great stories to read to my daughter about Easter for the reason you just stated. I read and she reads the Bible daily. I am searching for a good children's book that explains the concept of Christ's resurrection.
I grew up in an old black church. Children had to recite the Lord's Prayer or the 23rd Psalms on Easter.
