LIONSGATE to Copy Tyler Perry Formula
Joe Drake, president of LionsGate will begin making changes to the movie company. He plans to offer more family friendly movies with Tyler Perry's blockbuster movies as a thumbnail sketch. Nikki Finke reports.

LionsGate obviously knows what will sell in the black community and they want to capitalize on those dollars. The question becomes will they stick with a "winning formula" of telling a real story about black life or will they start coming out with bafoonish material of what they "think" we want to see.

I think they aren't just looking at satisfying an African-American audience, but families and people of faith as well. But not so heavily bible thumping kind
