This past Saturday I participated in two book events in Atlanta. I served as a mobile bookseller representing Mocha Readers Books for my write-or-die chick, author and publisher Dwan Abrams. It was great fun. I met more Christian fiction book lovers, wannabee writers, and a possible location for my Sunday Books & Brunch Events. I enjoyed myself.
As our day ended Dwan and I prayed Thanksgiving to God for a good day, and then she prayed for her own PEACE. Peace about her writing career and her personal novel sales goals.
Once home I prayed for her more, then my clients and my other writing friends. While we were book partying, my other write-or-die chicks needed special prayers. Sherri Lewis was at the Mall of America with 126 other ACFW authors signing books, as well as wondering if she would win the debut author category for the ACFW awards. Movie Producer Reshonda Tate Billingsley, Book Promotions Consultant Dana Pittman and Mocha Readers Bookstore owner Rhonda Bogan were recovering from Hurricane Ike. And Rhonda McKnight launched her editing service. Everyone needed prayer, including myself.
This past Thursday and Friday I participated in an Atlanta wide prayer cell event. We prayed for twenty four hours. I prayed one hour out of that time for those who sent me prayer requests, but missed--not even a thought in my mind occurred to me--to pray for Peace for my Write-or-Die- Chicks and The Other Master's Artists, particularly these great bloggers here in my company.
However God is a great God. He knew I would eventually get to that prayer, so while I prayed with Dwan God gave me some words of PEACE for me, my friends and you. Can I share them with you?

Hi Dee!
I'll certainly remember to keep the Christian writing industry in prayer. As a writer who's moving to the next level, I understand now how tough things can be and how much prayer is an essential to sanity in this business. I pray for everyone's peace for our journey- Lord knows we need it! And, I'll pray for you too!
What's awesome about God is that when changes are being made- and you're moving forward to the next level, it means God has great things along the way and when you get there! Be encouraged sis in Christ!
This event sounds awesome. Makes me wish I was still in the "A". Do you know of anyone in Dallas? I'd love to connect with other urban writers out this way.
Blessings,
Kennisha
