Tyler Perry's hit stage play, What's Done in the Dark hadn't had lights out for a good two minutes before the playwright who never sleeps has a new one ready to hit the American stage. “The Marriage Counselor” opened in January.
Update: "The Marriage Counselor" is about a husband and wife living with their in-laws. The husband is an accountant and the wife is a marriage counselor who offers advice to everyone. When a college friend drops in, the marriage counselor is the one who needs advice.
Tony Grant, who starred in Why Did I Get Married the stageplay will be the lead in this one. He's a great performer. Can't wait.
It comes to Atlanta April 17-20, 2008, and will show at the Fabulous Fox. I need a date. :)

Hi, anom. Don't make any assumptions at Christian Fiction Blog. If you look through our archives we have featured many book and movie titles that have profanity, violence and adult themes.
In my experience the only TP plays that have profanity in it are the Madea plays. And since I can't see the play until April, I will ask if the show has profanity.
Also let me clear something up. The Marriage Counselor isn't being advertised on CFB. We featured it as our Tuesday Theater Block Pick two weeks ago. Our advertisers are clearly placed on the site in the sidebar and just below the head bar.
Question: Do you consider a work not Christian if profanity is included? If so, why?

Hi Mr. Perry, you have done it again. I saw your play "The marriage Counselor" tonight in Dayton, Ohio. It was excellent, will this play become a movie? As the play ended and Roger was saying that he could only be friends with his wife. I started praying that God would bless me with a man like Roger, a man that seeks God first!!, and to my surprise as I walked to my car I ran into Roger and told him that he and the rest of the cast did an excellent job, God answers prayers I met Roger (smile).
